It isn’t everyday that we get to celebrate a momentous occasion like this! On such a special birthday as this, we would like to take you back in time and reminisce about our past, show you our present, and reveal what Akasa has in store for the future.
Past
Akasa was founded in 1997 to fill the market gap for fan and processor cooler solutions for technical niche markets and computer system builders, initially starting in the UK and developing over time to other EMEA markets. We began with two offices in Taipei and London for our EMEA customers. After the brand launch in 2000, the Brazil office was established in 2001 to help with distribution in South America.
By 2003, Akasa was a brand positioned as a market leader in the PC manufacturing sector and a technology and IPC thermal solutions provider. This increase in demand allowed us to establish three manufacturing facilities in Dong Guang, China between 2005 and 2012 for fan manufacturing, assembly and CNC machining. These facilities have allowed us to expand our capabilities in producing OEM and ODM chassis and thermal solutions for our customers, reaching various markets such as 5G telecommunications, transportation, medical, and surveillance applications.
Once we attained our ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications in 2009, Akasa started to focus on the fanless chassis market, becoming a partner with Intel(R) and producing cases for Intel(R) mini -ITX, thin mini-ITX, and 4" x 4" NUC motherboards. We are proud to be one of the market leaders for fanless cases and thermal solutions.
Family and relationships have always been an important company value, and we believe it is one of our most appreciated achievements. Our large family not only includes our valued staff members, but also all of the customers we have had the pleasure of working together with over these 25 years.
Present
Akasa’s 25th anniversary arrives just in time for the launch of our new website and branding. Working with some of the top UX designer agencies, the website offers a streamlined interface that is user-friendly and easy to understand. We are working hard behind the scenes for some new and exciting releases, please stay tuned to our social media channels for updates!
With the recent Brexit restrictions, our new Holland office and warehouse provides us with a more convenient outlet to sell to our European customers. Accessibility is one of our key principles, and we are always working to improve our processes to deliver the best experience for our clients. Akasa has overcome many uncertainties surrounding various political climates around the world, and has triumphed by coming out the other side in a better place, ready to face the continuously developing world of technology.
Our success has come from sticking to our core values: respect and compassion. These principles have shaped the way we collaborate with our partners and clients, and we believe it is the only way to move forward. As said by Yitsen Chen, Managing Director at Akasa, “keep calm and carry on!”
Future
Since the very beginning, our goal has always been to supply our valued customers with the very best offerings, and we aim to continue this for as long as possible. We will continue to maintain our healthy relationships with our partners, producing different solutions tailor-made for our customer’s needs.
Currently, our plans for the future are to continue innovating the latest technology in PC and embedded system peripherals to various markets, from enthusiasts to mainstream consumers, and from e-commerce to technical markets.
